On Instagram, an ER doctor said Israelis got “a taste of their own medicine.” CORRECTION: Former ER doctor.

A doctor whose job is to administer potentially life-saving medicine to patients, among them Jews, was reportedly fired after celebrating the massacre of Israelis by the Islamist terror group Hamas.

Here’s more from the NY Post:

An emergency room physician …shared a video of the heinous Oct. 7 attack on her Instagram Stories.

“Zionist settlers getting a taste of their own medicine,” she wrote, according to a screenshot shared by Stop Antisemitism on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Monday.

A second snap showed [her] Instagram profile, which has since gone private — where the physician boasted over 600 followers and had a Palestinian flag emoji in the bio section.

The Daily Mail reported that “the posts went viral after being shared by StopAntisemitism, a US non-profit organization, which warned: ‘Jewish patients beware.'”

Earlier this week, the doctor told the NY Post that she “never called for harm to anyone.”

“I never have and never will abdicate my duty and my oath as a physician,” she added.

Patients outside the hospital didn’t see it the same way.

“I definitely think as a doctor, a person that is supposed to be taking care of people, after what we just witnessed — Jewish people weren’t doing anything. They slaughtered babies, who were completely innocent,” a woman who was born and raised in Israel told The Post.

This termination is one of several involving outspoken employees on social media with strong feelings about the terrorist attacks.

The Daily Beast reported that a commercial pilot was fired for a series of “deranged posts” that included a graphic of an Israeli flagged being dumped in a trash can alongside the words, ‘F**k you Israel. Burn in hell.'”

Meanwhile, The Independent reported that a reporter covering a professional basketball team was fired after he tweeted the team’s pro-Israel post on X ‘sucks.’ He’d been on the job for less than one month.

I just finished two hours and ten hours of workplace training for employees and supervisors, where I dedicated an outsized portion to Antisemitism and Islamaphobia. Reports like the ones above indicate that these scourges are only getting worse.

If you’re not getting ahead of this problem by addressing it now, you’re doing your workforce a disservice by not educating and protecting them. Also, there’s the cost of defending lawsuits and the unwanted publicity of ending up ‘above the fold’ for all the wrong reasons.
