If my wide open collar and disco moves aren’t “gritty” enough for you, well, I can fix that.
I can guarantee you this assuming that you recover from the hysterical blindness, I’m told it’s only temporary. We’ll have some fun at these October events. And I’ll teach you a thing or two about employment law.
Here’s where we can connect IRL:
If you want to get real wonky into Americans with Disabilities Act accommodations, I’m presenting an advanced-level course at SHRM Lehigh Valley’s October Conference on 10/2 in Bethlehem, PA. While I’m there, I’ve got another presentation on training tips for supervisors so that they don’t botch employee leave completely.
Two days later, on October 4, I’m presenting an update on the significant changes in 2018 in NJ employment law (e.g., equal pay, paid sick leave). That’s at Tri-State SHRM in Mt. Laurel, NJ.
Then, it’s off to the shore for the Garden State Council SHRM Annual Conference & Expo in Atlantic City on 10/15, where I’m presenting an encore performance of the ADA course. Plus, I’m teaming up with Michael Murphy of Murphy Law Group, LLC to give audience members an inside look into what boxes Mike is trying to check when one of your current or former employees calls him to become his newest client and sue your company.
Or maybe I can entice you with a webinar. On October 24, Daris Freeman, Esq. and I are presenting on recently updated and pending legislation, and other important recent cases impacting absence and disability management in the Northeastern U.S. DMEC is hosting that webinar, and it’s not only free to members but also non-members who sign up using the discount code: 18COMPLIANCE3.
But wait, there’s more. On October 25, I will be part of a “Roundtable Discussion: Navigating LGBTQ+ Issues in the Workplace,” which the good folks at Wolters Kluwer will host. I don’t have a sign-up link yet. But, as soon as I do, I’ll post it.
In the meantime, eighty-six the restraining order, mark your calendars, and I hope to see you next month.
